So appreciative of Angel for always bringing something new and exciting to the community. This place is truly welcoming! It’s a great sports bar with an awesome menu—delicious pizzas, breakfast and brunch items, plus a live DJ. The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere is just right. A perfect spot to eat, hang out, and enjoy good vibes.

Let me tell you about a place called The Standard Cafe, this spot has been many thing over the years. Now it has reached a different level or let's just say they pushed the bar on cafe's in the city of Newark to the new ark Standard & yes, I used that in a Pun. The Newark Standard Cafe / Restaurant grasps you the moment you open its doors. Welcoming you into this homely space where the servers greet you with a smile and cool attitude. The music makes the space vibrant, can't wait to see the live sounds happening here this summer once things really jump off it's a perfect venue for it. I have to say I feels good and I just hope to see it last a very long time in this location. Anyway, Coffee is great!! Food is great!! Service is great!! Pricing was great!! Let's keep it going guys, I give this location many props (To the owners: make sure you connect the right way with community offering an equitable space for creativity & cultural enrichment and the community will embrace you offering longterm sustainability and good business)

Food and atmosphere was amazing. Our server, Justin, was awesome and very professional. The risotto popper is a definite must try- easily my favorite of the night next to the milanesa. Also, kudos to the bartender because that was one of the best lychee martinis I've ever had. Music selection from the DJ was great too.

We came on vacation and decided to try this Cafe based on the reviews, table of 8. Every person was impressed! I'm mexican so flavor is a big deal for us. This place has it! Presentation, flavor, size, prices are good. The Cafe is clean which is always a plus. The staff is very kind, we were so happy we came back the next day. They are definitely setting the standard.

It's such a fun place! Casual setting that is part Sports Bar , Eataly like floral decorations, and European Café vibe. I know, it sounds strange but somehow is interesting and comfortable. The food was delicious and cocktails were excellent ! The Ribeye steak was cooked perfectly, the Octopus delicious and good pizza

My friend and I decided to try this place for brunch today. We were originally seated in the brunch area, but some of the items we wanted were from the cafe, so they redirected us there. Steven, the barista/ server was such a great host.we really enjoyed his good and happy mood. The food was good, and we loved the atmosphere and the fact they it was so affordable. We will definitely visit again!

The place is really nice. Nice ambience. The bar is cute would def go back and sit there. We did brunch. One friend got the Milano omelet which was delicious. Another got the ironbound burger which was also delicious. I got the steak and say— do not order steak here. It was supposed to be a skirt steak w fried eggs. And mind you I don’t like to send food back as a general rule. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare and it came out well done and the eggs were cooked through when I asked for soft. The waitress took it to replace and when it came back out the eggs were perfect but the steak was a palomilla steak (top sirloin) which was surprising. It was cooked fine so I just kept it… but if you are a steak person, just know this isn’t the place for it. Other than that I love the place. I included a pic of my leftovers to show that it’s clearly not a skirt steak…

The service is fantastic! The patio is one of the best I’ve ever seen—there’s a live DJ and it truly feels like you’ve escaped the city. The food is amazing, the drinks are delicious, prices are great, and the atmosphere is just perfect.
